Daybreak Chapel Int. was established in the year 1998 by Rev. Prophetess Ivy Tetteh. In 2003 Daybreak Chapel was a small, upstart church with a big dream of becoming a church that welcomes thinking people who were not actively involved in a church. Our first 23 years have been an amazing journey with thousands of people finding greater hope, purpose and meaning in their lives here. And, they’ve found that a church like this can quickly become a great place for personal connections and relationships that will last a lifetime.
Our Mission is to commit ourselves to evangelism (that is, soul winning), the empowering and equipping believers to be effective and passionate witnesses for Christ Jesus; promote sound teaching of the Word of God to all corners of the world, help the poor and needy, educate with a solid basis of faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. We also are, through Christian doctrine, agents of change to the body of Christ, the society, the nation and beyond.
Daybreak Chapel International was established under the governance of the Living God in 1998. It started as a prayer fellowship of believers to help affirm their Christian faith, interceding for the nation, Christian worldwide, praying for the healing for the sick with all manners of diseases. The four-member prayer fellowship team lead by Rev Ivy Tetteh escalated further as testimonies of the wonderful miracles of God, the ministration of the Holy Spirit manifested and their members grew in the Lord where counseling and consultation also began. The fellowship started at Mamprobi, Abeley Samuta – Kakalika Junction; encompassed four people.
With God’s presence in the midst of His people, as, years went by, a dramatic growth of members from four people to twelve. The 4(four) member team now became a 12 (twelve) member team. Their devotion and thirst for Christ allowed the anointing of God to intensify the true purpose of the fellowship – increasing the number of members. As the fellowship grew, the need for registration of the fellowship became paramount. Important personalities like S.K Oppong joined the Ministry. Valley of Grace International Ministry (VOGIM) became registered in 2003, and thereby, relocation of the Ministry from Kakalika to Ayalolo, Mamprobi. During the birth and registration of VOGIM, the prayer team did not have a stable avenue for praying so moved from place to place (some of which were Crew Avenue 6, Ayalolo Club House Dansoman Sahara(Tunga) and the late S.K Oppong who allowed his residency to be used as a temporary venue for the Ministry work – aiding in the extension of functions of the Ministry. Then, in December, 2007 The Valley of Grace International was changed to Day Break Chapel International, a name chosen via divine revelation from the Living God. In 2012 the church had a permanent avenue of worship at Dansoman Sahara down (Amisa Gono) Today, Day Break Chapel International has her own headquarters situated at Dansoman, Sahara Down. It is a Christian center that houses over 300 active members. Its mission and vision are to provide lives a new identity through sound teaching of the word of God, the prophetic and innovative ways that transforms the world as new creation in Christ Jesus. The Church now has ministers about seven pastors in all with Pastor Rod Being the Motivator and Pastor Akrong being the first minister of the ministry in Christ Jesus, Madam Cornelia Jones-Nelson(deceased) being the prayer intercessor for the church. The Church continues to improve daily and has gained an international recognition by the grace of Almighty God
